Day 141

Glow Beyond

Have you ever noticed those girls that walk with extremely dramatic arm-swings? Usually one hand is clutching something like a purse, a cell phone, or their hair (?), and the other, the free hand, is swinging wildly. When I walk, my arm carves an arc of about 15° each way from vertical, whereas these girls can swing upwards of 90° in each direction. Their wrists often leave their hand hanging limply at the end of their giant pendulous arm, and the elbow never absorbs any of the force by bending, so their hand snaps upwards at the end of each arm stroke.

I can't find a good YouTube video of this, but search for "girl walking" and you get some weird videos.

And yes, you've seen this pillar before. These are the only two pictures I took today (this is becoming a bad habit...), and I liked both of them so much that I couldn't just post one. As is the case for several of my other pictures recently, it's the background that makes these pretty (in my opinion). It's ridiculous how simple the backgrounds were (the main picture is just of my car and the lawn across the street [notice the yellowish dot at the bottom? That's a hub cap.], and the second is of a bus stop sign.), yet how wonderfully their colors were translated.
