The Last Glimmers
Went to Denver for Jeannie's birthday. You saw Jeannie once before in the background of Day 71's inset picture. The main picture for Day 71 incidentally happens to be one of my favorite ones so far. It's simple but compelling.
I had my first martini ever. Gin, of course, not vodka. We were at a blues club getting some after dinner drinks. The guitarist was very into his music, and very sad about it at the same time. So it goes for blues artists.
I decided to be vain and started spelling the acronym of this blog in my pictures. I set the shutter speed to 2 seconds and started wiggling the camera around. I'm sure people just thought I was really into the music. I decided that I had to capture the image correctly on my sensor, and not have to later rotate it or flip it digitally, which proved to take some thinking that was a little difficult to do after drinking a martini. I found that in order to do so, you have to move your camera as if it was a pencil and you were writing the letter upside down and backwards. That way, as you move your camera from right to left and from up to down, the image goes left to right, up to down on the sensor.
Tonight was a wonderful example of why I need a fast-as-shit lens. If anyone wants to give me a few hundred dollars to do this, please call at your convenience.
And then there was nothing.

I love the windows picture. And Jeanie looks small and adorable. If I had the money, I'd give it to you.
Thanks for commenting on my pictures. I miss you man, and it was really nice to hear from you.
