Day 243

Winter on Pearl

I usually push contrast with my B&Ws, and I tried to scale that back on this picture. I think gray-and-white is more wintry than black-and-white.

I got three hugs today from strangers holding a "Free Hugs" sign. Ally hugged (and was clearly pretty excited about it) one of the original "Free Hugs" guys on the Pitt St. Mall in Sydney, Australia back in 2005 before we had any idea who they were. He was just standing there with the sign, and I told her to go hug him. She was a little creeped out by it, and wasn't sure what the catch was, but she eventually caved. The guy she hugged is pretty visible at around 2:03 in the official Free Hugs Campaign video (he's the one in the white USA shirt that hands the sign to some other guy).

I love the black and white! It looks like it could be a picture from the 20's or so...minus the heating lamps.
