BackwardsI had plans to hang out with Mark and Scott for New Years, but I pooped out at the last minute. Work, tired, then more work today. I hate how what I do to live is getting in the way of me living. Sleep is the same way. Just stop wasting my time, sleep!
But at least I might get into the mountains some time this weekend. Oh my god how great that would be. Don't poop out on me, Sherry, the way I pooped out on Mark and Scott.
At least I've been making a lot of money this last week. I'm about to purge my bank account to add to my IRA. How grown up. Now if only I had a grown up job with a 401k and shit.

Sherry, the girl I used to hike with a few summers ago, asked if I'd like to do Mt. Evans via snowshoe. Depending on the weather (it's been windy in case you didn't know) we might just do something local like Bear Peak instead.

Thanks! I do too. Not that you care/know what I'm talking about, but I haven't gotten any bokeh-rific pictures of xmas lights yet this year, so I'm glad I finally did. It seems to be the thing to do, I guess.

It's the way out-of-focus light gets resolved by the lens. Those tree lights in the background are fuzzy little dots, and depending on the lens you're shooting with, those can be any number of polygonal shapes.
Photographers can get pretty damn hifalutin about what their bokeh looks like.
