Day 21

Title: Broken Chord


I took some nighttime driving pictures this evening. It was dangerous and they didn't turn out too good. I need to hone my skills some more. Therefore I took the above picture and was much more pleased. Even though today only marks rhymes with milk's 3 week anniversary, I'm running out of things to photograph around my house. I need to start taking my camera out with me more often so that I don't exhaust all the possible pictures I can muster from my home.

A while back, Scott posted a picture of his iPod, and he was listening to a band called Explosions in the Sky. Thanks to torrent downloading, I'm pretty indiscriminate about the music I get these days. I had their whole discography within the hour. They're really pretty great, and I especially like to listen to them while studying since they're post-rock instrumental. I decided a few nights ago that I want more music like them. I now have what I suppose are the "big names" in the post-rock genre. I like most of them, but it's really difficult to tell one from another. Since most of their music is instrumental, you don't have the voice of a lead singer to help you distinguish each group. They've each got their own style and instrumentation (allegedly), but they're all melting into one in my mind.

I took my last final ever yesterday, yet I'm still nervous/anxious/stressed as shit. Work and trying to find work is really bringin' a brotha down.
