I am now the proud owner of a domain name. Now if anybody can just tell me how the eff I can point the site to some html files on my computer, or host my blog on it, or tell me why I just downloaded Apache and an FTP client and how to use them, or how I change my DNS and router settings to get everything to work correctly, that would really help me out. I understand the basic theories behind web hosting, but I have noooo clue how to actually implement them in real life.
