I like this video. The moon was pretty well exposed, I think. You can actually see the Maria on it. Nice.
I do not like, however, that the branches in the 'foreground' aren't resolved. They're way way way too out of focus. It makes for interesting shadowy movements across the moon's halo, but I'd prefer if they were actually distinguishable as branches like in the picture.
BTW, the picture of the day was taken probably a quarter of a mile away and half an hour earlier than the images for the video. That's why they look so different. For the video, the camera was set up on my desk (so that I could control it with my computer) looking east out of an open window (I pried the screen off, too). They were taken at 10s intervals for just over 30 minutes, resulting in 189 still images.

The moon was so beautiful last night. I drove down to the beach and watched it rise on the way out there, light streaking across the ocean. It was amazing... you're going to love it down here. I'm so excited.
where'd wednesday go?
i love that moon photo. but then again, i have a hard-on for the moon.
