Day 214

Nude Photography Isn't Nearly as Awesome as This

Hello world.

I am off for NZ. This is my second major international trip in the last 6 months (the first being Greece starting on Day 91), and I'm simultaneously excited as hell to be leaving, and dreading the work I'm creating for myself upon return. I'm referring, of course, to the massive amounts of photos I had to sift through, process, post, and explain after coming home from Greece. I suppose that's pretty negligible, though, when compared to the experience I'll have just had.

In fact, I'm excited to see what I'm able to produce from this trip.

But of course this trip is about so much more than getting pictures and posting them online. This is about visiting AJ, Ally's younger brother, who has already been traveling, adventuring, and experiencing all New Zealand has to offer for several months now. (I suppose there might have been some studying thrown in there once in a while, too.) I can't wait to see him and finally hang out again. There'll be so much damn hanging out, you just wait and see.

I'm excited to experience the Oceania culture again. I lived in Sydney for 5 months back in 2005 and loved every bit of Oz, even the long-winded tour guides. I know NZ is an entirely different country, but they're still closely related. NZ influences were certainly felt in Australia, so I'm sure the opposite is true as well.

And I'm excited to drink Speights, and hopefully smuggle some back for Rob, too.
